The external 2-disk RAID system from Verbatim offers the following RAID options that can be selected by the user: BIG / RAID 0 or RAID 1

In RAID BIG mode both hard disks are interpreted with its total capacity as ONE drive, that is activated via a common drive letter The two disks are writed one after another.

The RAID 0 mode (striping) makes it possible to accelerate the reading & writing processes. Indeed even here the entire hard drive capacity is allotted in a common drive letter, however in this case, the data is uniformly written on both disks.

The RAID 1 mode (reflection) has great advantage for data security. Thus the contents of each of the two drives are duplicated, so that two identical sets of data sets are available all the time. The maximum capacity corresponds to a hard disk within the RAID system. The drive is allotted ONE drive letter.
