The board allows you to test the various features of this "low pin count" family of chips, including the Enhanced Capture/Compare/PWM module (ECCP) such as Local Interconnect Network (LIN) or motor-control applications. If you connect the PICDEM 4 Demonstration Board to the MPLAB ICD 2 you can use this to develop simulate and debug. It is also possible to load a program into the PICmicrocontroller.
