The Main Unit II is capable of replacing almost all circuit boards from instrumentation & control technology, which previously required special integrated circuits to be constructed. The principle item of the Main Unit II is a compound-filled 16-bit microprocessor made by the German high-tech company Infineon. Among other applications, this controller is also used in the German automobile industry. Compared to the C-Control I version, the Main Unit II offers considerably more hardware resources, for instance almost 100 times more storage in total & 5 times faster processor clock frequency. Whenever you want to capture measurements, sample switch settings or count impulses. But the Main Unit II can do still more: Using hardware design with FLASH storage, you can update or upgrade the operating system of the Main Unit II when required. Considerable advantages are offered here by the new virtual machine in the operating system of the controller, & the specially developed C2 programming language

Because events are processed in parallel in multi-threading, the processing on the control computer is no longer suspended if data transfer is delayed. Waiting is carried out in the background, while the control computer performs other actions. In contrast to C-Control I, the Main Unit II also allows 32 bit Integer & 64 bit floating point processing. After programming, your Main Unit II will run as a stand alone device. The PC is not necessary for normal operation, it can however remain connected to the unit if required for the purposes of data capture.
