The Main Unit II is capable of replacing almost all circuit boards from instrumentation & control technology, which previously required special integrated circuits to be constructed. The principle item of the Main Unit II is a compound-filled 16-bit microprocessor made by the German high-tech company Infineon. Among other applications, this controller is also used in the German automobile industry. Compared to the C-Control I version, the Main Unit II offers considerably more hardware resources, for instance almost 100 times more storage in total & 5 times faster processor clock frequency.
