Precision Sensor GP2Y0AH01K-Y001F

This sensor operates on the basis of optical triangulation with IR light. The sensor allows an extremely accurate distance measurement between 4.5 and 6.0 mm with a resolution of min. 0.1 mm. Its special feature is the absolute measurement. The absolute distance in the measuring range is shown through an analogue output voltage. The measurement is independent of the object colour. The controls are simple, comprising simply the power supply and output signal. There is no need for a complex clock signal. It was designed to measure the paper thickness in copiers and printers. Other possible applications include precision displacement sensors in industry, proximity switches, thickness measurement.
