The measurement methods for fill level detection are based on the conductive principle, in other words, the electrical conductivity of the medium is monitored. If the switching amplifier determines a value smaller than the preset conductivity, then the state "media detected" is returned, otherwise "no medium". Depending on the number and the design of the level sensors, the device can be used for limit level detection (min/max detection) or as a 2-point controller.
Application: Automatic control of drainage pumps and sewage lifting units, overflow and boil-dry protection, automatic filling and emptying of containers, pools, tanks, control of the liquid levels in tanks, aquariums, storage tanks etc. The ALSCHU 300 FG is suitable for detection of conductive media (water etc.). It is less suitable for weak or non-conductive media (oils or fatty liquids), conductive foam-forming media or media that allow electrically insulating deposits to form on the electrodes.
