This monolithic module is a precision power source which operates temperature-independently. The output current in µ A is exactly to the temperature in Kelvin. For example, at 25° C there is a current of 298.2 µ A, corresponding to 298.2 K (K == ° C + 273.2). The sensor has outstanding linearity at just 0.15 K (° C). Without additional calibration the tolerance is ± 1.5 K (° C). This error can very easily be compensated for by emploing a resistor trimmer, so that only the linearity error occurs. Linearity ± 0.15 K (° C).
