This PCI plug-in card adds a powerful and secure Serial ATA II interface to your PC. You can connect multiple SATA hard drives to create one huge virtual drive or considerably reduce access times via parallel processing. In RAID 5 mode, the card combines the advantages of RAID 0+1 with only 3 physical hard drives (instead of 4). Here data from the card is distributed over and saved on the 3 hard drives in such a way as to ensure that the failure of one drive has absolutely no effect. A new drive can be completely restored with the card. In addition, RAID 5 also offers the highest data transfer rates.
