The average carbon footprint of a family in the UK is 28 tonnes a year. For everyone in the world to have an equal share of global emissions at a level that the planet can cope with our carbon footprints should be just two tonnes per person. This Family Footprint will offset a family’s footprints down to that ‘fair’ level for a year. Whether you’re worried about climate change or the world running out of oil we all know we should be using less fuel & switching to greener energy. With this Feelgood Footprint you have ‘offset’ your emissions through our activities such as tree planting producing fuel-efficient cooking stoves sustainable agriculture methods & forest protection. These activities are all part of Concern Universal’s work helping communities to adapt to their changing environments. Our offsets are backed by carbon saved through our projects in Bangladesh Malawi Nigeria & the Gambia. As these are our usual community projects you can be assured that they will have genuine social & economic benefits as well being good for the environment.
