This stylish take on our widely acclaimed C11 MSL aviation watch loses nothing other than size when compared to its mens collection bigger brother. Engineering perfection, the calling card of the C11, is evident in every component of the W11 Amelia. The same engineering precision, tangible in both the case & dial, is matched by the equally fine attention to the smallest details such as the anti-reflective AR08 coating applied to the underside of the sapphire crystal & the coin engraved marking on the reverse of the case. Named after the courageous American aviator of the 1930s, Amelia Earhart, the W11 aims to capture some of her trail-blazing sense of adventure some 75 years after her twin-engined Electra was last heard from flying off the Howland Isles in the Pacific during her ill-fated 1937 round-the-world flight. In this new Almond interpretation, which is also available in Pale Rose, we have given the case a more highly polished finish & the dial a galvanic sheen finish – touches which add to the femininity of the design. Further enhancing this direction is the self-coloured Italian calf leather strap. The new Amelia is still for the adventurous woman but with the accent on woman.
