Nestle Nutrition Modulen IBDNestle Nutrition Modulen IBD is a whole protein powdered formulation for use as a sole source of nutrition during the active phase of Crohn's disease & for nutritional support during the remission phase. It is 100% casein based & naturally rich in Transforming Growth Factor Beta 2 (TGF-2), & provides 25% of fat as MCT. TGF-2 is an anti-inflammatory cytokine which helps to down-regulate the inflammatory response associated with active Crohn's disease. Milk protein is 100% casein which is naturally rich in TGF-2 which helps reduce the inflammatory response in the gut & promotes gut mucosal healing. Flexible caloric density. Whole protein powdered formulation with a superior taste to improve patient compliance. Nutritionally complete in 2000ml. Suitable as a neutral flavoured oral sip feed or for administration as a tube feed. Can be flavoured with Nestl Nutrition Flavour Mix. Suitable for adults & children over 5 years.400g re-closeable tin. The dosage of Modulen IBD is dependent on the age, weight & clinical condition of the patient. The recommended feed concentration is 20% (1 kcal/ml). As a guide, Modulen IBD can also be concentrated to provide 1.25 kcal/ml (25% concentration) or 1.5 kcal/ml (30% concentration) but additional fluid should be advised. As a guide, you may add 2 scoops of Nestle Nutrition Flavour Mix per 100ml, but this may be adjusted according to your individual taste. Modulen IBD is suitable for vegetarians & is nut free. Modulen IBD should not be used in cooking, but can be frozen.
