Macushield Gold Capsules 90s Macu Shield Gold provides a Macu Shield formulation with added vitamins & minerals. Scientific research shows that the three nutrients; meso-zeaxanthin, lutein & zeaxanthin are found at the back of the eye, at the macula, where they form the macula pigment (yellow colour). Meso-zeaxanthin is particularly concentrated at the centre of this pigment. Lutein & zeaxanthin can be found in fruits & vegetables & meso-zeaxanthin is present in some species of fish & seafood. The macula pigments in Macu Shield are obtained from marigolds (Tagetes Erecta), specifically grown for this purpose. Macu Shield Gold combines these three macular carotenoids in a formula containing meso-zeaxanthin, in addition to zinc to help maintain normal vision, copper, vitamin C & a natural form of vitamin E, which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Macu Shield Gold comes in an all-in-one capsule, 3 capsules taken daily. The 3 capsules can either be taken together, or separately throughout the day, but we always recommend taking them with a meal.
