Fiprospot Spot On for Small Dogs 2-10kg Fiprospot Spot On for Small Dogs is an easy to use spot on application for treating & preventing flea infestations. Containing fipronil, the same active ingredient as Frontline, it protects dogs & puppies over 8 weeks of age & weighing 2-10kg against fleas for up to 6 weeks & ticks for 3-4 weeks. Fiprospot can also be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD), where this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinary surgeon. Fiprospot does not prevent an infestation of the animal by ticks, however ticks will usually be killed within 48 hours. This is usually before they are fully engorged, thus minimising but not completely excluding the risk of disease transmission. Each Fiprospot pipette comes with a st&, so you can easily prepare the pipette & leave without the worry of the pipette leaking while you prepare your dog for treatment. Directions Apply 1 pipette topically to the dog's skin, ensuring that it is applied to an area where your cat cannot lick it off. Do not allow pets to groom each other until the treatment is dry. Always follow the directions on the packaging. Shampooing with a medicated shampoo, followed by thorough drying, 1 to 2 hours before treatment application & bathing once a week over a period of 6 weeks has been shown not to affect the efficacy of Effipro against fleas. Do not allow the dog to get wet for the first 2 days after applying the product. If your dog is pregnant or lactating, please consult your veterinary surgeon before using this product. Dogs should be treated with Fiprospot every 6-8 weeks to maintain flea cover all year round. Do not treat more frequently than four week intervals. When treating a flea infestation, don't forget to use a household flea spray to kill flea eggs & larvae within the environment & ensure that you treat all animals in the house. When using as a flea prevention, it is recommended that you treat the house once a year with a household flea spray such as Vet Kem Acclaim or Staykil to stop fleas re-emerging in the house.
