Buttercup Chesty Cough Syrup 150ml Buttercup Chesty Cough Syrup is an oral solution containing Ipecacuanha & Glycerin & is taken for the symptomatic relief of coughs. When a chesty cough becomes irritating this Buttercup Chesty Cough Syrup can bring relief. Ipecacuanha is a type of medicine called a cough expectorant, & are used to treat a productive or chesty cough, in which phlegm is coughed up. Expectorants such as ipecacuanha are thought to work by decreasing the thickness of the secretions in the airways, thus loosening phlegm & making it easier to cough up. Directions Adults & children over 12 years of age take 5ml to 10ml every 3 to 4 times daily. Do not take more than 4 doses in any 24 hours. Do not exceed the stated dose. Not recommended for children under the age of 12 years. Ingredients Ipecacuanha Liquid Extract 9.8mcl & Glycerin 0.5ml per 5ml. Other ingredients Glucose, Sucrose, Citric Acid E330, Lemon Oil, Acetic Acid E260, Camphor, Ethylhdroxybenzoate E214, Propylhdroxybenzoate E216, Methylhydroxybenzoate E218. Amaranth E123 & Purified Water.
