The middle notes of the fragrance are rosemary, nutmeg & coriander. Issey Miyake is a Japanese style designer known for his inventions with fabric & his use of technology to produce interesting & practical garments. Miyake was born in Hiroshima in 1938, & was a witness & survivor of the atomic bombing of the city during World War II. After learning graphic design at Tama Art University in Tokyo, Miyake went on to work for some of the most famous couturiers of the 1960s. A move to Paris led to work for Guy Laroche & Givenchy. Another move to New York brought the occasion to design ready-to-wear for Geoffrey Beene. Miyake returned to Tokyo in 1970, founded the Miyake Design Studio & began producing women's fashions. How does it work? Ibucalm tablets contain the active ingredient ibuprofen, which is a type of medicine called a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). (NB. Ibuprofen is also available without a brand name, ie as the generic name.) Ibuprofen is a simple painkilling medicine used to relieve mild to moderate pain, inflammation & fever. Ibuprofen works by blocking the action of a substance in the body called cyclo-oxygenase (COX). Cyclo-oxygenase is involved in the production of various chemicals in the body, some of which are known as prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are produced in response to injury & certain diseases & conditions, & cause pain, swelling & inflammation. NSAIDs block the production of these prostaglandins & are therefore effective at reducing inflammation & pain. Ibuprofen also reduces fever by reducing the production of prostaglandins. Fever is associated with an increase in prostaglandins in the brain, & these prostaglandins cause the body temperature to increase. By reducing prostaglandins in the brain, ibuprofen lowers body temperature & hence reduces fever. Ibuprofen reduces inflammation & related pain & so can be used to relieve muscular & rheumatic aches & pains. It can also be used to relieve other painful conditions such as headaches, migraine, toothache, nerve pain (neuralgia) & period pain. It is also useful for reducing fever & discomfort associated with colds & flu. What is it used for?
