Artisan water mixable oil colour uses a special thinner for the range. Artisan was developed to avoid the use of hazardous solvents. Although water can be used as a diluent for the colours, its speedy evaptoration can make the colour thicken upon the palette much quicker than the conventional oil colour would when used with turpentine.
