C Roberson Prepared Rabbit Skin Glue Size is a traditional sealer for linen or cotton canvas and board. Made in the traditional manner from rabbit skin, it’s ready for use after standing in warm water and is applied after diluting with water in concentration of one part to 14. Once dry it’s transparent, leaving the natural colour of the surface visible, but you can also mix it with whiting to make a traditional gesso or use it for binding pigment in a distemper. After applying C Roberson Prepared Rabbit Skin Glue Size, you can paint directly onto the sealed surface or you can add an oil-based primer to further protect the surface.

Made in the traditional manner from rabbit skin, it’s ready for use after standing in warm water & is applied after diluting with water in concentration of one part to 14. Once dry it’s transparent, leaving the natural colour of the surface visible, but you can also mix it with whiting to make a traditional gesso or use it for binding pigment in a distemper. After applying C Roberson Prepared Rabbit Skin Glue Size, you can paint directly onto the sealed surface or you can add an oil-based primer to further protect the surface.
