Shogun is the world’s most advanced recorder, monitor & playback device for 4K & HD workflows. Featuring HDMI 2.0 & 12G-SDI input & output, Shogun is an incredibly versatile monitor-recorder solution that supports 10-bit 4:2:2 recording to Apple Pro Res, Avid DNx HD & Cinema DNG raw formats. Constructed from aircraft grade aluminium Shogun is both lightweight & robust making it suitable for use not only in studios but also in the most challenging field environments. Specification. Shogun records to 2.5" Hard Disk Drive (HDD), Solid State Drive (SSD) media via a removable Atomos Master Caddy, with a new dual-drive RAID-0 Master Caddy also available to support 4K & high-frame-rate HD recording to low-cost HDD media, giving users over 2hrs of continuous 4K recording. Audio is handled via 8-channels of digital I/O with a further two-channels analogue provided through a breakout Lemo cable offering full balanced XLR, line/mic & phantom power. A dedicated headphone output is also featured. Featuring a single battery slot & a DC power input Shogun offers flexible powering options as standard, along with the industry's lowest power consumption. Shogun will ship with Atomos' forth-coming power module, that will feature two battery slots & two DC outputs & incorporates Atomos' patented Continuous Power technology. Featuring two Sony N, L-series compatible plates the power module provides continuous & uninterrupted operation to the Shogun through the DC connection, but can also provide the same continuous power to another DC device, such as the camera.
