As 1/4” & 3/8” threads are an industry standard, the mounting possibilities are virtually endless.   With the cheeseplate fitted, it is not possible to mount the flexible LED light mat to a light st&, as the standard spigot mount needs to be removed in order to attach the cheeseplate.   To alleviate this, Fomex produce a ball head with 16mm female spigot mount. The ball head screws directly to a 1/4" thread on the cheeseplate, meaning that the cheeseplate does not need removing for operation from a light st&.
