The Expanded Guide : Canon Powershot G16 The Canon Power Shot G16 compact digital camera is the successor to the successful G15 & the first in the G-series to come equipped with built-in Wi-Fi. This facility makes it absolutely ideal for sharing images & video on social networking websites, or via email through the Canon Image Gateway. Images can also be uploaded using the maker's compatible i OS® or Android™ device with the download of a free Canon Camera Window app. The G16's 28–140mm wide-angle lens has an aperture range of f/1.8–f/2.8, making it ideal for shooting in low-light conditions or for capturing a dramatic shallow depth-of-field with soft backgrounds. The camera features Canon’s HS System, which combines a DIGIC 6 image processor & a 12.1-megapixel High-Sensitivity CMOS image sensor. Autofocus (AF) times & reduced shooting lag are enhanced over previous G-series models & continuous shooting speeds of up to 9.3 frames-per-second are possible. The G16 captures 1080p/60p Full HD video & has a built-in stereo microphone & an HDMI output for viewing videos on an HDTV. New shooting modes include Star mode for capturing the night sky: Star Nightscape will capture stars in a landscape image, while Star Trails will capture trails of stars in a still image; Star Time Lapse Movie will shoot continuous still images of stars & combine them into a video that replicates the motion of the stars in the sky. With the handheld HDR Scene mode multiple shots of a particular scene are combined to create a high dynamic range image without the need for a tripod. This mode
Includes:: Natural, Art Bold, Art Embossed, Art Standard & Art Vivid options. The dials & controls on this digital compact camera are styled similarlyt to those on Canon's range of EOS digital SLR cameras. The G16 is also compatible with Canon Speedlite flashes & select accessories.
