The Extension Kit enables you to control your hot water. It is also needed to connect the tado° Smart Thermostat to your heating system if there is no room thermostat or if you have a wireless room thermostat. The Extension Kit works then as a wireless receiver for the heating system. The Extension Kit can only be used as an additional product of the Smart Thermostat
- Starter Kit (v 2/v 3/v 3+). ** What’s in the box?** tado° Extension Kit, connection cable, terminal block, Euroblock connectors, RAST 5 connectors, 2 screws for wall mounting, 2 anchors for wall mounting, labeling for cables The tado° Extension Kit connects directly to your heating system via cable. The Smart Thermostat communicates via radio with the Extension Kit to control your heating. ** Features** For heating: Uses the outside temperature & the location of the residents for energy-efficient heating control. Wireless connection for heating: The Extension Kit allows your Smart Thermostat to be wirelessly connected to your heating system. Hot Water: means that you can control hot water if you have a separate water tank by replacing an existing programmer. The Extension Kit is necessary in the following cases: No thermostat, wireless thermostat or to replace a programmer. The Extension Kit is needed in addition to a Smart Thermostat. The Extension Kit connects directly to the boiler via cable & communicates with the Smart Thermostat via radio. It can also be used to replace an existing programmer (standard UK backplate). ** Replacing a programmer** If you have a programmer attached to your boiler to control hot water production, the Extension Kit can replace it. This way tado° controls your hot water production too.
