The DMC-FS50 packages a 24 mm ultra wide-angle LUMIX DC VARIO lens with 5x optical zoom into a slim, compact body. It captures more subjects in limited focusing distance. For distant subjects, the intelligent zoom can be used for the extended magnification to 8x by combining digital zoom with minimum deterioration of image quality. The 16.1-megapixel of large image sensor offers high resolution images so that it is still affordable to crop the part you want to enlarge out of the picture after shooting. The DMC-FS50 records dynamic HD video in 1280 x 720p in QuickTime motion JPEG. The iA mode is incorporated in pursuit of the ultimate ease of operation and the reduction of miss-shots. In addition to the MEGA O.I.S., intelligent ISO control, intelligent scene selector, intelligent exposure and face detection are included to get the best result. The DMC-FS50 features Panorama shot, which makes it possible to shoot a horizontal/vertical panoramic image with consequent shots taken by overlaying the previous picture.
