Iron Key Personal is a revolutionary personal security device designed to protect your data, passwords & online identity on any computer. All data stored on an Iron Key Personal drive is encrypted with high-speed military-grade hardware encryption. Unlike software-based encryption, this "always-on" protection cannot be disabled & is protected against cold-boot & brute force attacks. No one can access files stored on an Iron Key unless they authenticate with the correct password. All encryption & password verification are performed in hardware, & it cannot be disabled by worms, viruses or other malware. D250 drives balance performance & value for users who don’t require constant access to data. The same great security as the S250, the D250 has dual-channel MLC flash memory for reliable read/write performance. Shielded in a solid, tamper-resistant & waterproof metal casing that surrounds specially sealed internal components, Iron Key drives are built to survive years of wear & tear. Each Iron Key drive is pre-configured with a client-side secure digital certificate, which can be used for strong authentication (Veri Sign Identity Protection service) to participating websites. Iron Key also provides a PKCS 11 interface which will allow any Windows application to potentially use the certificate.
