The bed sensor is installed under the mattress & is programmed to raise an alarm if someone does not return to bed within a predetermined time. Alternatively, the intelligent bed sensor works with the movement sensors & chair sensors. As with the bed sensor an absence period can be set, so that an alarm is raised if a person does not return to their bed. By installing movement sensors, & possibly a chair sensor, if the bed sensor detects that the person has not returned to bed; but the movement sensors detect that the person is moving around the property, or the chair sensor detects that the person is sat in the lounge, then the alarm call is delayed. Sensors can be linked to the bed sensor, so that when the person gets out of bed their bedside light comes on automatically, get switches off once the user returns to bed.
