The HDMI over Cat 5 Box Transmitter allows for the extension of an HDMI signal over solid conductor Cat 5e/6 twisted pair cable up to a distance of 100 metres (330ft), without any loss or reduction in signal. This HDMI over Cat 5 transmitter supports advanced HDMI features, including high definition 1080p video resolution, 3D, auto lip sync, deep colour, Dolby & DTS 7.1 audio & data transfer rates of 10.2 Gbps. This solution is compatible with any operating system & is truly plug & play with no driver or software required. In addition, this transmitter utilises Tru Choice Power which provides the flexibility to power the system with a single power supply at either the transmitter or receiver end. HDBase T technology allows the Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) signals, i.e. communication of the display’s capabilities, to pass through the extension solution ensuring that the content from the source is sent at the optimal resolution for the display. Built-in power surge protection & high ground loop immunity ensure high performance signal extension. * Stranded Cat 5e/6 cables may be used for HDMI extension applications up to 75m. Shielded, solid conductor Cat 5e/6 cabling is recommended for applications where the Cat 5e/6 cable must be coiled, is run near other high-frequency signalling cables or in high EMI/RFI environments. Single Cat 5 cable required for HDMI extension.
