** Why are Fan Mounts Necessary?** Vibration from fan motors can travel into a PC case & become amplified when a fan is fitted tightly. This unwanted vibrational noise is an issue if you wish to build a very quiet or virtually silent PC. These mounts have been designed from the drawing-board specifically to tackle fan-induced vibrational noise! Acousti Ultra-Soft Fan Mounts are a no-vibration alternative to standard fan screws or hard plastic push pins. To prevent the transmission of vibrations from a motor (such as a fan motor), the vibrating part needs to be decoupled (or disengaged) from the case, & the vibrations need to be damped, that is, attenuated. Acousti Products have selected an ultra-soft silicone polymer that effectively decouples the fan & also attenuates unwanted vibration. Both the shape & materials have been designed together to give a widely compatible fan mount. These mounts are made from an ultra-soft silicone polymer because it is softer & more chemically stable than cheaper alternatives like rubber or EPDM. Ultra-soft silicone is non-toxic, more chemically stable, & can also tolerate higher temperatures
- so it is a superior material for this application. * These Acousti Ultra-Soft Fan Mounts are the OEM packs of 100 mounts in bulk (enough for 25 fans) for OEM & system builders.* **AFM02B Fan Mount Design.** The fan mount has been designed with smoothed corners to prevent the propagation of cracks when stretched. When in position, the fan is held 1.25mm away from the case side
- this is just enough to allow free movement of the fan & effectively absorb vibrations, but not too much to cause excessive air pressure loss around the fan. ** Compatibility** Please note that this product is only compatible with flange type fans. This is because flange type fans (shown below) do not have a tunnel connecting the mounting holes like Rib type fans. Flange type design is the most popular type of fan moulding use

These super-soft silicone fan gaskets are designed to dramatically reduce the vibration from any PC or server case cooling fans. The 80mm, 92mm & 120mm sizes are 2.5mm thick. Included with each gasket are silicone washers & anti-vibration screws. These screws feature a thread design which prevents the shank touching the fan & vibrations being transmitted & amplified through to the chassis. These gaskets are suitable for the vast majority of case designs & fan combinations, as they fit standard fan mounting holes. Slightly lengthened (12mm thread) fan mounting screws are supplied with the fan gaskets & washers. These gaskets can be used with standard PC cooling fans, & not just with Acousti Fan™ quiet case fans. Note: Do not use these gaskets in very high temperature locations inside a PC/ Server such as attached to CPU or GPU heat sinks! ** Fitting instructions** 1. Fit the fan gasket onto the outside of the fan housing (it will stay on the fan) 2. Position the fan & gasket together against the inside of the case, so that the four mounting holes in the fan & gasket line up to the mounting holes in the case side 3. Locate the four silicone washers & screws, & fit the washers against the case side, each secured by a screw 4. Tighten the screws enough to very slightly compress the silicone rubber. Do not overtighten. ** Features** 1. Help to absorb the fan vibration 2. Help to seal the small gap between the fan & the casing/enclosure wall 3. Compatible with virtually all case cooling fans 4. Vibration-absorbing Low Profile Soft Feet ** Anti-vibration Replacement Soft Feet (Pack of 4)** A great deal of PC case feet are solid plastic, or (at best) very hard rubber & therefore do a good job of transmitting unwanted vibrations from inside a PC via the chassis/case into the desk, floor or shelf on which the system sits. In this situation, where the case is in direct contact with the substrate, the PC can generate annoying noise elsewhere (secondary noise). We have designed a unique set of 4 self-adhesive soft silicone feet (UK Reg Design Applied), of varying softness (for different case weights). These case feet are designed to decouple a PC case from the floor or substrate by absorbing vibrational energy, & therefore helping to minimise noise generation caused by vibrations. A little extreme? Well, yes, perhaps: but even with the very quietest PCs it is vibration that becomes the most significant culprit/contributor to noise generation. So we have developed these case feet to try & minimise vibrations in our pursuit of ultimate noise reduction. We hope you enjoy the difference! ** Multiple Applications** Antivibration case feet are not just limited to combating PC noise & for vibration control in their application
- they may be useful for Inkjet & Laser Printers, Hi Fi Separates, TVs, Small Form Factor PCs, Home Theatre PCs, & any number of appliances & enclosures that would benefit from vibration adsorption & reduction. Speaker cabinets may also be a useful application for these feet
- helping to isolate the speaker cabinet from the surface on which it sits. ** Available in 4 Different Softnesses:** * Light weight PC & SFF PC cases, HTPC cases, vibrating Hi Fi units, TV & home cable set top boxes, small speaker cabinets, inkjet printers etc. 8kg (2.0kg per foot) ACF3007-15B Matt Black Shore A 15° * Medium-to-light weight PCs, solid SFF cases, heavy HTPC cases, larger inkjet printers & laser printers, heav
