Temet Nosce - Know Thyself - Handmade Etched Copper Ring

Rustic etching - I cut this ring from sheet, etched the design, then formed and soldered the ring (using hard silver solder - there is a thin silver line at the join). The ring was then barrelled into the shape you cansee - this is a fairly brutal process and the barelling has a character of it's own. I used liver of sulphur to age the ring and bring out the detail. The Barrelled shape of this ring makes it more comfortable to wear than a standard wide ring. The copper will become darker with wear and time, keep the ring buffed to highlight the design. Approximate Size - UK Size P and a Half, US Size 8
