Each print is on a unique page of vintage dictionary paper, so no two are alike. One of the great things about prints on antique dictionary pages is not only the beauty & making for an interesting read but it also upcycles books giving them new life. In the spirit of recycling we use dictionary pages for our prints that have character flaws with some spotting & occasional corner bending. All our book pages have that beautiful golden patina colour that only comes from age which results in a unique & absolutely beautiful print suitable for framing. An inhabitant of the Indo-Pacific Ocean, this deep-water dwelling creature is often referred to as a living fossil, on account of its connection with its ancient forefather, the fossil collectors' favourite, the Ammonite. The Nautilus (or sailor, from the Greek) fills & empties the chambers of its shell to adjust its buoyancy as it moves across the slopes of coral reefs that it calls home. By winding the mechanism of this robust brass & wood device the user is able to slide the hemishells to & fro; allowing viewers to delight in the fascinating cephalopod's logarithmic spiral as it separates & becomes whole once again.
