Bright French proverb screen print which translates to mean ' Everything is Lost'. It's literal translation however means ' The Carrots are Cooked'. The phrase came to mean everything is lost, based on the fact that when a stew is made, once the carrots are cooked, there is no going back & so everything is lost.
