This lampwork glass necklace was handmade in my studio from Vetrofond Italian glass. It is a continuation of the exploration of pressing glass that began in my Droplet series & which I am calling my Droplet Stick series. Each long bead is comprised of a glass donut bail, a long cylinder of glass & a pressed glass circle made from transparent light apple green. The lengths of the beads are graduated from a long piece at the center, flanked my two medium length pieces at the sides. All 3 pieces are well-fused & the spacers shown will be included with the glass beads. I am truly inspired by the possibilities in the manipulation & organization of these glass discs, & will continue this exploration to see where it leads me. The beads measure between Approx. 74mm & 59 mm high x 10mm wide x 9.5 mm thick at the bail (2 15/16" to 2 1/4" high x 3/8" x 3/8"). This light green has a very subtle tone, & would look especially good worn against a white top. Dressed up or dressed down, this set is a stunner! I am including an 18" 1.5mm sterling silver omega wire necklace to complete this look!
