This is a h&-decorated butter dish made from slip cast earthenware. Each dish is Approx. 20cm long, 13cm wide & 7cm high, & comfortably holds a 250g block of butter. The coloured slip was applied before the glaze & the digital transfers are long lasting. The decoration is based on the vans & caravans that I spotted whilst camping at a festival. It made our black van stand out as there were so many coloured ones around us! I decided to perch on the cooling box one morning & draw my favourites to remember the memories of the weekend. My drawings were originally created by using pen & ink. These were scanned & computer manipulated (scaled down) before being made into transfers. Silver lustre adds a decadent touch.
