Work lamp is inspired by lighting used on construction sites adapted for a contemporary domestic environment. It serves as task, ambient or pendant lighting. The hand turned opulent bamboo contrasts with the industrial appearance of the steel cage designed to both protect the bulb whilst allowing a flood of ambient light to illuminate any workspace. The lamp is designed as a pendant but does not have to be used as such, a simple three legged rest has been designed to support the lamp & hold it in a horizontal position if the user so desires. A very rare find indeed. A double kid's school desk from an old village school in Northumberl&. It has the dents & marks from previous users which all add to it's charm. Finished in matte dark ash grey & red paints, specially mixed for us in France it now would add charm to any child's bedroom. The little vintage chair was given to us by a very good friend in Paris. What do children do in their bedrooms
- Work, Rest & Play we thought, so we finished one of the desk lids with a blackboard paint for Play, one for Work & the little chair for Rest. The stencilled letters were created by using vintage brass stencils. (Note: The chair seat is a little low to be used to the desk so is strictly for resting only.) Measurements: Desk
