- 2012 The Salomon Synapse is a performance snowboard boot that has comfort as its maxim. The Synapse features the Balance liner 3 with Full Custom Fit heat mouldable foam running the length of the liner. When heated the foam becomes malleable & the weight of the rider presses the foam around the lower leg, ankle and foot &, as it cools, the foam remains in shape giving a customised fit. Although super comfy the Synapse is primarily a performance boot, once you pull tight the reliable Powerlace Pro lacing system & strap in, these boot will respond to whatever terrain you throw at them. LACING: Powerlace Pro LINER: Balance Liner Level 3 FOAM: Full Custom Fit Foam OUTSOLE:  Spring FOOTBED:  Mystic 3 FLEX (1-10): 8 The liners of these boots are heat mouldable to give a custom fit. The heat moulding process should be done in store using specialist heaters but if you are unable to get to a store, the liners will mould as you ride them using your body heat.
