The Shakedown should be used as the outermost piece of a layering system and is designed to be the waterproof shell; this means it can be worn all season with differing amounts of insulation under it rather than swapping jackets for autumn, mid-winter and spring, which can get expensive! This is a jacket for recreational snowboarding rather than arctic adventure and has a media pocket,
