Burton Diode EST Snowboard Binding
- Black
- 2012
All new for 2012 the Burton Diode EST snowboard binding sits in the vacant throne the C60 once occupied within the Burton Binding Palace. We heard a story about the Binding Palace at Burton, we're not sure if it's true but here's how it goes
- " One day one of Jake's buddies came to the Burton Palace in Vermont to be fitted for a snowboarding expedition with Jake. When they reached the Binding Palace Jake's buddy called for the lightest binding in the Palace, Jake confidently reached for the C60 but was nervously intercepted by one his oompa loompas who handed him the Mission. ' Can this be true?' Jake asked incredulously! ' Indeed sir' his oompa loompa replied & his buddy was fitted with the Missions."
That was the day the C60 died, to be replaced with the Diode, now the undisputed lightest binding in the Binding Palace. Along with it's miniscule weight the Diode also features another new innovation from Burton for 2012, the Hinge. This is to allow lateral flex at the heel of the binding giving the rider the ability to 'roll' into ollies & turns giving a more powerful flex & therefore higher ollies. No wonder it sits on a throne.
