For 2012 Burton have added a bib pant, or salopettes, to their AK range. It used to be the norm for winter sports enthusiasts to roam the hills in bib pants/salopettes but for the last 10-15 years the snowboard pant has been king. Burton are aiming to take the crown back with these 2 Layer Gore-Tex beauties. The advantage of a bib pant/salopettes is that you aren't left trying to fasten your jacket and pants together, fasten your powder skirt, etc. when you get to the top of a virgin powder face, you can just drop in. Burton have also added fleece to the seat and knees of these pants to give you an extra cosy feeling as well as creating a new fit for the whole AK range for 2012, designed to mimic the body's natural movements
