make a binding that is
intuitive to use,
lightweight, comfortable
and functional in a
package that is as
stylish as it is durable.
The Hologram features
Salomon’s new Shadow
Fit that blends Kevlar
Quickwire through the
chassis and heel cup for
strength and lightening
response, a flexible
heel loop for natural
flex and optimum boot to
binding compatibility and
a lightweight,
engineered baseplate that
reduces weight and
promotes better board
flex under the binding.
Salomon issue this
binding to their pro team
and those guys like a bit
of tweakability and
padding when they strap
in so the Hologram comes
with an asymmetrical
highback and ankle straps
that deliver support on
the outside when turning
but have a little play on
the inside so you can get
creative in the air. If
you go up then you will
come down and the
Hologram comes replete
with a canted, air
filled EVA footbeds to
absorb some of the impact
when putting down
anything from baby ollies
to triple corked 10’s.
This is a binding for

Series has been around a
good few years now and
those people at Salomon
have not been idle with
2012 heralding their best
evolution of the binding
so far. The thing that
sets the Relay Series
apart from conventional
bindings is the material
used where a heel cup
would normally sit. This
gives the rider much more
feel through the back of
the boot delivering a
binding that moves with
you resulting in a looser
feel more like skating or
surfing. The Relay Series
still has all the comfort
and response of a
conventional binding
thanks to a full-length
footbed, great straps
and a solid highback and
is just at home ripping
