Jolly Roger - Pirate Movie Productions
The Jolly Roger represents THE ultimate personification of the Pirate ethos. It remains, as it was at the beginning of the 18th century, the insignia of people who do not consider themselves bound by the usual rules of engagement.
Two dozen riders from 12 countries caught on 16 mm, each bringing their unique style and together raising the flag once again. The Pirate crew chased shots across 3 continents, from the mountains of Salt Lake City to the alpine snowfields of Kitzbuhel to the active volcanoes of Kamchatka. Expect innovative backcountry snowboarding, creative city jibs and sh!tloads of powder, all wrapped up in the typical Pirate style.
Athletes like Juuso Laivisto, Emeric Front, Gigi Ruef, Hans Ahlund, Tyler Chorlton, Marco Feichtner, Marko Grilc, Drew Fuller, Dimi Fesenko, Markus Keller, Eirik Haugo, Elias Elhardt, Bjoern Hartweger, Danny Larsen, Teo Konttinen, Kalle Ohlson, Sani Alibabic, Stephan Maurer, Osa, Jocki Koeffler, Mike Casanova, Lukas Goller, Filippo Kratter and Blair Habenicht are pushing the limits - everyone in his own nature. That is what makes it as special as every character brings along his own riding style and therefore creates such a diversified film.
Again the 2010 DVD comes in a 100 page artbook. The book is an optical collage of the last year's film season and portrays the hidden talents of all Pirates. Besides the contributing photographers, artists and musicians, some of the riders illustrated their pages themselves. With this book everyone had the chance to exhibit his own creative thoughts.

This collaborative film effort with Jeremy will be the first of its kind; a true pure riding film made deep in the mountains, " says TGR co- founder Todd Jones.

The B Movie - Burton
For the Burton Team, the 09 season started just like any other- resort and heli laps from New Zealand to North America and Europe, pipe, park, backcountry, and stash runs, with riders leaving their mark at every stop. The snow-covered streets of Salt Lake, Minneapolis and sleepy European villages were explored. Corks were doubled and rails were combo'd as waves of winter storms cleaned and set a new slate for mission after successful mission. It was another dream season, but something was different this time. Something bigger, and more iconic, something so over the top that the movie had to bear its name.
