You might be planning a special Bloom silk flower display for Christmas. Alternatively, perhaps you'd just like to give an existing favourite arrangement a touch of seasonal sparkle. Either way our Champagne gold branch stem ticks all the right boxes. Its twiggy, linear form provides the perfect contrast to softer, gentler curves. Those jagged angles highlight the delicate textures of petals & leaves. It's strong enough to hang the heaviest baubles from & that rich golden colour is the ideal way of adding shimmer & sparkle. ...

Bees like cymbidiums & the feeling's mutual. In fact cymbidiums aren't just fond of bees, they make a point of getting up close & personal. They do this by laying a cunning trap. As the bee lands on the lower lip of the flower it springs up, enclosing the insect which can only escape by crawling backwards. In doing this, it passes first the stigma which it pollinates (if it's carrying pollen) & then the stamens
- picking up pollen for another cymbidium. Of course this only applies with natural, organic versions of the plant
- Bloom cymbidiums are pollen-free. Which is good news for allergy sufferers if rather frustrating for insects. Nevertheless don't be surprised if your cymbidium centrepiece attracts the odd bee or two
- especially if you add a little of our orchid or flower shop scent. That's the thing about our silk flowers
- they're so realistic they even fool the 'experts'.
