If you’re using it with a boiler or zone valve (central heating system) then you can run a wire from the thermostat back to the relevant terminal on either of those units. If using with a hydro underfloor heating system then it’s a similar set up but you run the wire back to the underfloor heating system wiring centre which is usually located near the manifold. For electric systems the heater in the room wires directly to the thermostat so the thermostat is best placed in that room Need to know.
