A man taken from us far too early; but leaving a legacy of unique work that so many aspects of the human condition with a warmth & humour that few others could touch. Take Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner (and the rest of the sensational Excitable Boy album) what sort of genius mind takes a topic like the Biafran/ Congolese wars of the late 60s & delivers a song of pathos; humour & brutality; yet never trivialises his hero; Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner. Respect to Warren Zevon; the man was a genius.
