The Merkur 47C is a unique razor offering a machine-tooled, lightly lined handle, as opposed to the usual knurled style. Featuring a longer handle, measuring 95mm, it provides a good, safe grip when wet making it easier and more comfortable to use. The whole razor is also chrome-plated throughout and has a metal knob which acts as a counter-weight to the head. The 47C shares the same head as the popular 34C, 33C and 38C and is compatible with all safety-razor blades. The three-part razor allows the unscrewing of the head to replace the blade.
