Assos FI. Mille S5 Bibshorts The long-distance comfort short. The original T FI. Mille evolved from the legendary Pros Line T Campionissimo bib short, & is designed to be your ideal long-distance comfort short. A heavily funded R & D project at Assos results in ongoing development throughout the range, the the FI. Mille chamois pad has seen a major improvement for it's latest release, using the new S5 materials & design. Organic S5 When comparing last year's pad to the S5 the first difference you'll notice is a 25% volume weight reduction, so the shorts are refreshingly lighter. Light weight is great, but the real important advances are found in a more breathable fabric for both shorts & pad, a re-worked AEPD anatomic cut resulting in a 23% reduction in pressure in the genital area as well as an 18% increase in compression around the muscle zone. These developments combine to give a more comfortable & hygenic ride & consequentially an improvement in performance, which is particularly apparent over longer distances. These bib shorts are designed to let you ride all day with your sensitive areas as comfortable as riding all day will allow them to be.  They fit well, with no rubbing seams & stretch well when riding causing no uncomfortable chafing. The S5 insert, which is the same as on the non-bib shorts, is large & shaped anatomically & is very comfortable. The FI. Mille S5 bib shorts are quite long down the leg & are held in place with elastic stitched into the base of the short. As with all shorts we do advise you to use some chamois cream both on the insert to keep it supple & clean & also rubbed onto the skin, this will stop chafing, preserve the insert & stop any skin irritation developing. Again, this is more vital on longer rides where you'll be in the shorts all day.
