The new mechanical  Ergopower 12x 2 Speed Record  Disc Brake controls take full advantage of the widely respected, proven Campagnolo technologies & have become indispensable for those who are in the saddle for extended periods. One such technology is  Vari-Cushion, which offers an ergonomic, comfortable & safe support & grip. There is also the “one lever-one action” feature that assigns each lever one function to prevent shifting errors. The  Ultra-Shift mechanism enables upshifting up to three sprockets at a time & downshifting a full five. Furthermore, the new mechanical Ergopower 12x 2 Record  Disc Brake controls offer lever adjustability that utilises Reach Adjustment to move the brake lever closer to the low grip, thus adapting to the different hand sizes. AMS Adjustment allows modulating the moment of shift engagement through the use of specific levers. The carbon fibre brake levers feature a unidirectional disposition of the fibre to ensure they match seamlessly with the other components of the groupset. The flat-mount Campagnolo brake callipers ensure powerful, modular braking in any situation owing to pistons measuring 22 millimetres in diameter. Brake pad return guaranteed by the magnetic system ensures that there is no friction at the time of brake lever release. A special metal plate positioned between the pad & the calliper piston, cushions the vibrations during braking. The different Campagnolo brake callipers were designed to be mounted together with the disc chosen by the rider & to always guarantee the highest level of performance. It is indeed possible to choose thebrake calliper with a disc measuring either 140 mm or 160 mm in diameter & to use a specific 160 mmcalliper. Careful attention was given to making maintenance & assembly operations easy: the pads have wear indicators & replacing them is facilitated by the absence of physical return springs. in addition, work was done on the insertion of the disc in the calliper to make changing the wheel easier & faster.
