Rimbands alloy wheel rim
protectors are a stretchy
band of high
strength tear resistant
silicone rubber. They are
fitted around the
circumference of alloy
wheel rims adding a
styling trim ring that
helps to protect the
wheels surface from
damage caused by hitting
kerbs whilst parking and
going over potholes in
the road surface whilst
driving. Rimbands have
an extensive tail section
that sits right into the
barrel of the wheel.
Rimbands have been
designed to have the
correct amount of stretch
to ensure a tight fit and
5 gripping ribs stop them
from slipping out
whilst driving. Rimbands
are made from a silicone
rubber and are totally
sealed around the wheel
meaning the tyre can grip
into them giving no risk
of air loss. Rimbands are
the safest type of rim
protector that requires
the tyre to hold it
in place. Rimbands are
coated at factory in a
special Flurobond
sealant, which protects
the rubber from brake
dust and prolongs it’s
life span. As
Rimbands are made from
rubber, they will not
damage the wheel
surface. Rimbands are
size specific, so make
sure you order the right
size for your wheels.
They are universal
fitting and fit most
types of alloy wheels,
however they do fit
lipped wheels better than
flat faced wheels as the
top edge curls around the
lip and this stops them
being pushed off by the
tyre under load and when
installing. Rimbands
alloy wheel rim
protectors are designed
for
professional installation
only. They cannot be
fitted at home and this
should not be attempted.
