- Full Details You'll be collected from your hotel early in the morning to start the scenic journey to Pamukkale, travelling over the Taurus Mountains & Lake Salda en route. Pamukkale, with its dazzling white, stalactite 'castles', is a magical natural site, unique in the world, situated close to the ruins of Hierapolis. Warm, calcium rich thermal spring waters which have run off the edge of a nearby plateau for millions of years created Pamukkale's fantastic fairyland of stalactites, cataracts & basins which attract visitors from all over the world. Whilst in Pamukkale, swim in pools filled with warm, soothing thermal waters, explore the white limestone terraces & relax in hot springs which have been used since Roman times for their therapeutic powers. After lunch (included), you'll head to the ancient city of Hierapolis, built in the 2nd century BC as a thermal spa.
