The US Flag design has changed over time to incorporate more States, so Shepard Fairey has taken his own approach to the flag, & dissected the iconic ' Stars & Stripes' putting them back together with a single star holding the Obey motif, surrounded & enclosed by stripes, both celebrating & questioning not only the American flag, but American culture. This limited edition silkscreen print is given another level of depth by the use of gold-foil block, cleverly mimicking the delicate scroll-work design found on US money notes.
