Painting (This is one of two paintings I have done of this dramatic beach & rock
- Crackington Haven on the north coast of Cornwall. The other piece has sold. I don't normally paint such stark beaches, but when I visited, I was struck by the overbearing presence of the rock formation. I also loved the reflections happening on the wet s&. I used a blue acrylic wash for this piece before building up the layers of oil. I have all my paintings framed professionally, but in this case I painted & waxed the frame myself.
