Photography (The UK isn't blessed with a large amount of spectacular waterfalls, but High Force near the source of the river Tees is one such waterfall. It is the largest waterfall in the UK by volume (not the tallest). It is 71ft tall. I wanted to capture the vivid contrast between the foaming white water & the dark Whinstone (a type of dolerite & part of the ' Whin Sill'). The heavily overcast sky has added to the dark & moody feeling. I used a wide angle lens at a small aperture to capture the maximum depth & detail. This has helped to bring out the detail in the rocks, water & clouds. The waterfall was painted in 1816 by J. M. W. Turner. Framing options: Premium fine art guild framing
