Matrix 2 is a simple 2-AA
alkaline powered headlamp
that houses a single
Luxeon I side emitting
Luxeon Star LED in a PR
base for light. This
means that you never need
to carry a spare bulb
with you. The Matrix 2 is
a natural extension of
several other Princeton
Tec lights. The internal
switch/reflector
mechanism is essentially
identical to that found
in a Tec20 Tec40 Scout
Predator Vortec etc. As
with those lights
switching the light on
and off is accomplished
with a simple twist of
the bezel. The
bezel/battery unit pivots
on the forehead plate
allowing the light to be
vertically directed where
needed. The forehead
plate has a rubber pad
for comfort and a 3 point
fully adjustable system
of elastic straps. The
battery compartment opens
on one end by lifting a
lever on the back. The
lid is sealed with an
o-ring and is tethered to
the battery compartment
by a plastic strap to
prevent its loss. The
light is dive rated to
100 meters.
